Type IV, Ring Suspension, Karl I. (Issued 1917 1918). 1) A round medal for bravery constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse depicts the portrait of Karl I circled by the inscription CAROLVS D. G. IMP. AUST. REX BOH. ETC. ET REX APOST. HVNG., the reverse presents the inscription FORTITVDINI, surrounded by a laurel wreath and underlaid with crossed standards and flags,
