San Marino, Republic. A Military Merit Medal, III Class Bronze Grade Auction a Medal of the 2nd(Medaglia al merito militare). Instituted in 1860. In bronze, engraver marked "S. J" (Stefano Johnson of Milan) and inscribed "ANZIANITA" (Seniority) on the reverse, measuring 32. 2 mm (w) x 35. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, exhibiting spotting and light contact overall, without ribbon, better than very fine.
