Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse with a central raised depiction of a mother holding a child, inside of a white enameled cross bearing initials RDH for REICHSFACHSCHAFT DEUTSCHER HEBAMMEN (REICH ASSOCIATION OF GERMAN MIDWIVES), surrounded by a ring of blue enamel with an inscription of IM DIENSTE DER ZUKUNFT UNSERES VOLKES (IN THE SERVICE OF THE FUTURE OF OUR PEOPLE), the
