In this tapestry evening time is personified by the imagery of a woman in an elegant evening gown resting by the woods. The artwork comes from pioneering Czechoslovakian artist, Alphonse Mucha; part of his Hours of the Day series from 1899. The scene is surrounded by delicate leaves and bordered with flowers. The softness and elegance of Mucha's works is especially
