Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, By Friedrich Linden Auction both of Chinese manufacture(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, above a magnetic metal backplate, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays with acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, designer marked PEEKHAUS, BERLIN and maker
