It depicts Mary as the Immaculata, standing on the crescent moon, her head slightly bowed, her gown in soft, flowing folds. The surface is stained and polished and has developed a warm, satin patina over time, ranging from dark brown to burgundy. Tool marks remain visible on the underside, as do later inscriptions that are no longer legible today. A silent object
