Painterly Old Oil on Canvas Springtime Painting oil painting which I have to thinkThis looks like the first of the flowering trees in early spring to me, which always feels like a bit of a miracle, and a most welcome one. I found this not far from me on the North Shore in Massachusetts, I would guess not too far from where is was painted. The wooden stretcher shows what looks to be a patent date of Oct 7, 1884, so I would think done not too long after that. Impressionistic and atmospheric, it's a good one for a salon style wall or
