the HBT straps are a bit brittle and the sweatband and chinstrap are absent

One side of the tang bears the makers name: 義 秀 or YOSHIHIDE

Wall or desk mounted battleship gray paint finish metal telephone with locking receiver to keep it in place on a rolling ship or submarine. There is a nomenclature data plate mounted to the body that reads 16 4 Showa 16, 4th Month, which is April, 1941. Portions of the black rubber cord are fragmented and chipping, but none are broken. Internals all seem to be present. A great display piece and very well made.
