Features the classic front sight and "semi buckhorn" style rear sight. Serial number 278337B denotes year of manufacture as 1888. The engraving on top of the barrel is somewhat worn: WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U. S. A. KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH
