This is a fantastic example of a British made, felt embroidered patch for the 705th Bomb Squadron who served a part of the 446th Bomb Group. The patch does not appear to have ever been worn on an article of clothing and is in near mint condition, one of the best we have seen. The squadron was first activated as the 705th Bombardment Squadron in 1943. After training in the United States with Consolidated B 24
