And a curious one in my experience too a miniature ink and watercolor portrait on a CDV card, the card stamped "H. Terry, Main Street, Sag Harbor, L. I" on reverse. Whether painted over an early photo portrait, or over an engraving, or painted on a blank card, I am not entirely certain, but his hair and collar look early 1800s as opposed to c. 1860s to me, so perhaps
