The OSP 26 or Model 1926 Soviet flare gun was developed at the Izhevsk Weapons Factory (aka Izhevsk Arsenal) by lead designer V. Fedorov. The Izhevsk Triangle with arrow logo is marked on the top of this flare gun. The OSP 26 was in heavy use for more than 30 years and for a time was the most common signal pistol of Red Army in WWII. It was used in the Soviet Japan conflict, Soviet Finnish Winter War and during WW2.
