This time the 5th Destroyer Flotilla was able to intercept around 06:30 on 29 November

complete with a nice “puggaree” wrap and helmet plate from the BARBADOS POLICE

and the left scale has a repair on the lower front corner

or possibly pre-war

Or else they were substituted by using clothing that "looked right"

WWI OD green painted wooden construction Trench Periscope, complete with its adjustable leg prop and metal belt hook. The battlefield is viewed by the use of two opposing glass mirrors, one top, one bottom, held in a wooden case held together by twisted wire. A fairly crude design but it got the job done, and was cheap. It still has the complete original U. S. Ordnance dept.
