Introduced in 1843 these percussion carbines came with 26" 28" barrels for artillery use and 21" barrels for cavalry use which also included a fitted saddle ring. This example has a 28" British proofed smoothbore barrel with various maker markings underneath including W. MILLWARD and BECKWITH. The lock bears the East India Company Rampant Lion Logo. The furniture is all brass and the carbine is offered in overall
