The rasps are hardened but the tang has been drawn back and is soft which allows for easy drilling. Can be forged or used through stock removal. Rasps vary from 16 3 4" to 19 5 8" long, 1 3 4" 2" wide, and 3 16" to 1 4" thick at the teeth. Heat treat the same as 1084.
