The SCR 625 was a mine detector that was used by the United States during WWII into the Korean War. The 625 had a total length of 1. 8 meters and a total weight of 3. 4 kilograms. Its design consisted of a metal coil at the bottom of the searching rod which led into the operator's bag which itself contained the batteries needed for operation.
