Lovely Old Wooden Painter's Palette with Soft Colors finely carved eagle so I had to rescue

so I had to rescue it and hopefully shepherd it forward

with plenty of aging to the paint but no losses to the wood

3 3/16 x 2 3/8/x 13/16 and in good shape

and an early American Express paper shipping label still adhered to the top

which kept me returning to it when recently roaming around an antique shop in Maine

Lovely Old Wooden Painter's Palette with Soft Colors finely carved eagle so I had to rescueI don't jump on many palettes these days, as I am quite fussy about the ones I like so many out there that look as if painted up to look as if they were actually used. But this is a nice old real one, probably tucked inside a painter's box to be used en plein air, with the colors on it just right for capturing a landscapes. Some paint and what I take for oil stain on the reverse side too. Lovely. 10" x 7", very nice presumed antique condition, late
