It does show some wear from storage with a small rust stain

the division smashed at the Siegfried Line on 15th at Saarbrücken

with a little wear and a great painted black enamel finish

though it does have some oxidation in the grooves

but we have no way of testing the composition

This is a very nice example of the principle Cavalry Sword used by the Russian Empire during most of the 19th century, complete with its original heavy steel scabbard.
