2023 Francois Buffet Volnay Premier Cru “Clos des Chenes” Pinot Noir or synthetic interventions — justThe most structured and age worthy wine in the range. Named after an ancient species of oak that disappeared centuries ago, Clos des Chnes showcases the magnificence of Pinot Noir on its chalky marl terroir full bodied and racy, with aromas of red berries and a tannic backbone that retains seductive finesse. Vines ranging from 45 to 80 years old spread across three parcels add extraordinary depth and complexity. Built to age.
