These are a beautiful antique red opaque glass melon or rice beads from the early 1900's

These double-sided carnelian coin-shape beads were made recently in India

28-29mm in length x 10mm diameter with 3mm holes

unpolished and rough with very subtle neutral beige to clear beads with brown matrix
