1884 Wood Engraving Livingstone Litter Exploration Deathbed Marsh Swamp XGZC7 XAKA2 Cincinnatus Heine (Heiner)This is an original 1884 black and white in text wood engraving of Dr. David Livingstone being carrying by porters on the last day of his life. He eventually passed away from a combination of internal bleeding from severe dysentry and a nasty case of malaria, in a village located at Ilala, Zambia. Although his body was returned to Britain, the tribesmen cut out his heart and buried it under a tree, claiming that his heart belonged in Africa. CONDITION
