Villa Matilde, Roccamonfina IGT, Cecubo 2007 Other This Is A Truly UniqueGrown on the slopes of the extinct volcano Roccamonfina, this extraordinary and full bodied red features the Abbruto, Primitivo, and Piedirosso grape varietals which were known to the region by the ancient Romans. A profile of plum, berries, tobacco, and anise are enriched by the distinct volcanic terroir. Grapes are hand harvested from vineyards planted between 1976 and 2000, and vinification is carefully controlled to produce a wine of refinement
