1926 Print Lutine Yarmouth Roads Frigate Sunken Treasure Gold Royal Navy XGR4 XGX5 Grand Avenue and Sixteenth StreetThis is an original 1926 halftone print of H. M. S. Lutine leaving Yarmouth Roads, UK, on the day of its final voyage, October 9th, 1799. Originally a French magicienne class frigate (32 guns), she had been captured by the British and rebuilt into a third rate frigate for the Royal Navy. The day she sank, she was transporting a large cargo of gold, the majority of which has never been recovered, despite dozens of efforts over the years to do so. All
